Scope of Experience

Andrew’s primary responsibility involves evaluating strategic opportunities for both principal investment and service business throughout the Midwest. Andrew is recognized as an industry leader in capital markets activity in Detroit, Chicago, Milwaukee and Columbus.

Background & Experience

Andrew joined Farbman Group in July of 2000. Andrew’s skills include underwriting all property types and classes, and conducting property-level due diligence for prospective acquisitions and developments, negotiating partnerships and arranging equity and debt financings. Since joining Farbman Group, Andrew has been responsible for purchasing, re-positioning and developing over $1.0 billion in real estate. Prior to joining Farbman Group, Mr. Farbman worked in Blackstone’s private equity real estate group in New York City. Other work experience includes Lazard Frères & Co. LLC with their New York Real Estate Investment Banking Division.

Education

Andrew graduated from the University of Michigan, with a B.A. in Economics and a B.S. in Social Science.

Andrew is the Chairman of NAI Global Leadership Board. Andrew is a founding board member and shareholder of Carbon Media Group and HealthRise, LLC in addition to an active board member for Savorfull. He has been recognized as a 40 under 40 in both Real Estate Forum and Crain’s Business. In addition Andrew is a member of the Midwest Real Estate Hall of Fame and a finalist for the E&Y Entrepreneur of the year.
