Scope of Service Experience
Valerie Lopez joined NAI Heartland in December 2019. Valerie assists the Property Management team with all aspects of maintaining properties to the standards set by building ownership in accordance with the terms of the property management agreement. She is responsible for all administrative functions of the Property Management team, as well as interfacing with tenants and handling any tenant requests or concerns.
Background & Experience
Prior to joining NAI Heartland, Valerie worked as an assistant property manager at Cushman & Wakefield. In this role, she assisted with daily operations and management of 800,000+ square feet of office, retail and industrial properties. She was responsible for monitoring tenant and vendor relations, contracts, invoicing and maintenance requests. She completed monthly financial reporting, coordinated tenant improvement projects and obtained bids for capital projects and building improvements. Before Cushman & Wakefield, Valerie worked as a site manager at a non-profit organization where she managed a multi-family apartment community. Her responsibilities included the daily operations of the property such as marketing, leasing, curb appeal, coordinating renovations and make-ready units. She also handled accounts payable and directly supervised maintenance staff and vendors.
Valerie received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Missouri Kansas City and received her Associate in Arts from the Kansas City Kansas Community College.
