Scope of Experience

Bob leads NAI Hiffman and Hiffman National’s Management Services division which currently represents hundreds of assets totaling 90 million square feet of office, industrial, retail, and medical assets. The portfolio is in Chicago, the Midwest and select national markets. Mr. Assoian, who is based in Chicago, has been actively involved with running large real estate portfolios and property teams since 1987.

Background & Experience

Prior to joining Hiffman in 2011, Assoian led the $1.3 billion Midwest asset management region for Grubb & Ellis Realty Investors, the Investment Management arm of Grubb, representing many investor clients including Prudential, with responsibility for assets in Chicago, Midwest, and Southeast regions.

Bob started his career as an Asset Manager in the real estate investment department of Travelers Insurance where he spent 10 years overseeing third party management and leasing firms running large downtown office, suburban office, industrial, and retail properties. After Travelers, he made the move to the real estate services industry, holding leadership positions with CBRE for the next 10 years, as Director of the Chicago Asset Services group.

Having worked as an owner’s representative for the majority of his career, Bob brings an owner’s perspective and provides strategic asset management advice to assist his clients in making both short and long term real estate decisions.
