Background & Experience

Sandy Simpson is the Chairman of NAI Ohio Equities, having founded Ohio Equities in 1971 with the Ohio Company. Sandy was a managing partner and became president in 1976. Over the course of his illustrious real estate history, he has been involved in not only thousands of transactions, but numerous professional organizations. From 1981-1986, he was the president of four organizations, including the Columbus Board of Realtors, the Columbus Commercial Industrial Investment Realtors, Columbus Countrywide Development Corporation SBA Financing, and the Central Ohio Chapter of NAIOP.

Education

1963 Graduate of The Ohio State University with a degree B.S. degree in Real Estate. He received his Real Estate License that same year.

Professional Associations & Designations

He has been involved in many professional organizations. From 1981-1986, he was President of four associations including the Columbus Board of Realtors (CBR), Columbus Countrywide Development Corporation SBA Financing, The Central Ohio Chapter and the National Association of Industrial and Office Parks. He also participated in the American Society of Real Estate Counselors and in 1983, George was inducted into the Society of Industry and Office Realtors (SIOR). In 1993, the Columbus Board of Realtors honored him as "Broker of the Year". In 2001, he was awarded the "Erika Blumenstein Memorial Award" from the Columbus Board of Realtors. George's contributions to Central Ohio's economic development include his leadership and participation in the Columbus Housing Partnership Board, the Development Committee of Central Ohio, the Bexley Planning Commission and as President of the Columbus Country Club. He has also served on two task forces for the Columbus Area Chamber of Commerce, the Arena Task Force and the Planning Task Force, key organizations in the redevelopment of Downtown Columbus. He is also has accepted a position on the Board of the Columbus Cancer Clinic.
